Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913 at Howard University in Washington D.C. by twenty-two young visionary African-American women that pledged to serious endeavors and community service. Their ideas of scholorship and service have withstood the test of time, and today Delta Sigma Theta is a public service sorority. Our founders were interested in establishing an organization committed to the promotion of high cultural, intellectual, and moral standards among its members for its own benefits as well as for that of the larger society in which it existed. Those 22 founders started a rich tradition of promoting personal excellence and social progress that continues today. 

    Greetings to my Sorors and Visitors, 

It is with great honor to serve as the 2007-2008 Beta Epsilon Chapter President  of Delta  Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I'm excited to begin this year and to continue to bring such legendary and esteem to this chapter. My objective is to continue to encourage our local, national, and global communities through service educational programs, and dedication to empower individuals throughout Central Virginia. The Beta Epsilon Chapter will give back to the community through volunteer services, donations of various goods and servcices, as well as fundraising towards charitable causes.

This chapter will enrich the community through the implementation of informative programming addressing relevant issues that will empower every sister, everywhere. We will support students through leadership development, financial management, and cultural development programs that will build leaders in the community.

We exemplify sisterhood which is the vital component that bonds our beloved organization.
The time is here, the time is now. There can only be ONE supreme sorority and we are that Ultimate Sorority.....
